ASMAT & NEW GUINEA CRUISE
An epic expedition to the furthest reaches of Eastern Indonesia where few have ever ventured

At the edge of East Indonesia
Encounter rare species and explore hidden lakes and cave systems in search of East Indonesia’s most enigmatic tribal community.
Aqua Expeditions presents an exclusive voyage to West Papua – one of the most uncharted destinations in all of Indonesia, rarely visited on board New Guinea cruises. This expedition offers the rare opportunity to sail to the Asmat region, inhabited by its namesake indigenous tribe who are known for their rich cultural heritage.
On board private speedboats, guests sail deep into the jungles of Asmat visiting traditional villages to gain an insight into local customs and rituals. Beyond this, the waters surrounding Momon and Triton Bay offer incredible snorkeling and diving sites to view sparkling coral reefs and rare marine life including whale sharks. Jungle hikes in this region can reveal hidden waterfalls and sightings of endemic forest kangaroos.
Our New Guinea cruises offer four special itineraries and a total of six sailings, with options for explorers who also want to discover the best of the Spice Islands and Raja Ampat. Mark your calendars for November 2025 as Aqua Blu takes you on the adventure of a lifetime.
