Aqua Lares pairs days of adventure with all the comforts of a five-star hotel, including a curated fine dining experience, highly personalized service, and a range of social spaces for rest and relaxation. Whether it’s sipping cocktails on the sun deck, cooling off at the jacuzzi, indulging in a spa treatment, or setting out on guided Arctic expeditions, moments on board can be just as special as those spent exploring the remote islands of the Indian & Arctic Oceans.

Culinary exploration across East Africa & the Arctic with Michelin-starred Chef Karime López

A celebration of regional flavors
Michelin-starred Chef Karime López presents a destination-inspired dining experience aboard Aqua Lares. Whether it’s Seychelles & Tanzania or Norway & the Arctic Circle, our exploration doesn't end with the twice-daily excursions. It continues on to the dining table, where you discover each region’s finest flavors through dishes that celebrate local ingredients and cultural influences.
In East Africa, Mediterranean inspiration meets coastal Creole flavors through dishes such as Zanzibar-spiced ribeye, Creole shrimp curry with fried plantain, glazed short ribs with smoked carrot purée, and lobster tagliatelle finished with caviar. In the Arctic, Norwegian scallops, king crab, and local brown cheese are paired with freshly baked scones, warm waffles, and other comforting favorites that reflect the warmth of Nordic hospitality.
Born and raised in Mexico, Chef López became the first Mexican woman to earn a Michelin star for her work at Gucci Osteria Florence in 2018. Her accolades also include Chef of the Year in Italy (2018), the Best Chef Art Award (2022), and CANIRAC’s Best Outstanding Chef Abroad (2023), cementing her reputation as one of the leading voices in contemporary Mexican cuisine.
